Continuing onwards you arrive at Santa Lucia, an age-old fishing village that today is transformed into an elegant street preceded by Castel dell'Ovo, location of exhibits and conventions: its marine center is complete with tourist port, bars and exclusive restaurants.
Piazza del Plebiscito
A few stops connect the hotel with the heart of Naples. Piazza del Plebiscito with its Seventeenth century Palazzo Reale (Royal Palace), the church of San Francesco di Paola, the medieval castle of Maschio Angioino, the prestigious San Carlo Theater, the Galleria Umberto I, the church of Santa Chiara with its beautiful cloister and masterpiece of obscure art that is the Sansevero Chapel, are all places that must not be missed.

Posillipo
If you desire to spend a day at the beach, enjoy the beauty of the headland or promontory of Posillipo. The rocks, that sweetly drop to the sea, offer a surprising view, whilst breathtaking sunsets color the coastal age-old villas with a vivacious red. On the top of the hill we find Marechiaro and the Virgilian Park, two points from which you can enjoy the scenic incomparable beauty of the coastline.
The little market The little market of the Torretta, in Mergellina, is one of the few covered markets of the city full of stalls selling food, household items, clothing and calzatureria. Antiques market in nearby Villa Comunale, every third and fourth Saturday and Sunday of the month, specialized in antiques that year after year is gaining more and more space and prestige, especially for the variety of the exhibits, from vintage postcards to wardrobes of the end of the eighteenth century.

By car: :
Coming from highway A1 continue straight on and take the “tangenziale” (by-pass), after 6 km take exit 10 “Fuorigrotta” and follow the directions for downtown (centro città); after the Posillipo tunnel, at the piazza Sannazzaro roundabout turn left and then immediately right onto via Giordano Bruno. About 100 m on your left, at n. 115, is Hotel Mergellina.
By train:
When you arrive at the station of Napoli Centrale take subway line 2 going towards Pozzuoli, get off at the fourth stop, Napoli-Mergellina train station located near the hotel. Exit the station and go right. Cross the square. Turning left on via Giordano Bruno at n. 115 you’ll find Hotel Mergellina.
By plane:
The airport Napoli-Capodichino is about 12 km from the hotel. Take the “Alibus” shuttle-bus that departs every 20 minutes from the airport to reach piazza Municipio. Take bus line R3 and get off at the via Giordano Bruno stop, where at n. 115 you’ll find Hotel Mergellina.
